On the latest episode of tvN drama, “Reply 1988,” airing Saturday, Sun-woo (Go Kyung-pyo) comforted heartbroken Sung Bo-ra (Ryu Hye-young), delivering sincere words from his heart.

Previously, Sun-woo told Bo-ra how he felt about her when the first snow fell, only to receive an ice-cold rejection from her.
However, Sun-woo continued to stand by her when she was most in need.

On a rainy day, Sun-woo spotted Bo-ra walking home with tears flowing, nearly soaked after having broken up with her now ex-boyfriend. She found out that he had been cheating on her with one of her friends.

Sun-woo said, “Your ex-boyfriend would never know how much of a heartwarming person you are,” holding his umbrella for her.
Handing her a can of warm coffee, Sun-woo whispered, “This must be painful,” looking at Bo-ra’s wound in her hand. Then he kissed her on her cheek.

A new phase of the relationship between the two is likely to begin as Sun-woo is becoming a person Bo-ra can rely on in difficult times.

“Reply 1988,” depicting everyday family life in the setting of a Seoul neighborhood in 1988, airs every Friday and Saturday at 7:50 p.m. on tvN.
