Actress Shin Min-a is wearing special makeup to look fat as an elite woman lawyer in KBS drama “Oh My Venus” that is currently airing. The makeover is said to cost around 200 million won ($170,000) for the entire series.

Shin Min-a’s character, Kang Joo-eun, is a successful lawyer who has never been backed down. However, her only concern is being overweight.

In order to portray the character, Shin has to wear a special suit and put some makeup on her face and neck as well.

After the first episode aired, many viewers left comments appreciating the makeup saying it did not look awkward and suited her.

The special makeup is said to cost 2 million won each time, totaling up to 200 million won for the entire drama series.

“Oh My Venus” starring actors Shin Min-a and So Ji-sub airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. on KBS.
