[PHOTOS] Lee Min-ho wins best new actor award at 52nd Daejong Film Awards

Hallyu star Lee Min-ho, who made his silver-screen debut earlier this year with hit film “Gangnam 1970,” won the best new actor award at the 52nd Daejong Film Awards in Seoul on Friday.
“Six years ago, I won the rookie of the year award here at KBS Hall. I feel grateful for the love and support I got through ‘Gangnam 1970,’” said Lee, extending special thanks to the film’s director and crew.
“I will put my best effort to become an actor who can contribute to Korea’s film industry.”
Earlier Friday, all best actor nominees announced they would not be attending the film fest, in an apparent boycott against the organizers who previously said they would not give awards to those who do not attend the ceremony.
Despite nominees’ absence, the organizers decided to go ahead with the ceremony despite mounting concerns.
