EXO member Baekhyun is poised for his small screen debut in upcoming TV series “Moon Lovers,” a local tabloid newspaper reported earlier Tuesday.

The drama will be a revamped version of Chinese drama “Scarlet Lovers,” which tells of a woman who time travels to the 1644-1912 Qing Dynasty in China.

In the drama, the singer is set to play one of the four princes, along with actors Lee Joon-ki and Kang Ha-neul.

It will be Baekhyun’s first appearance in a TV drama -- besides a Web series “EXO Nextdoor” -- after his debut as an EXO member in 2012.

As soon as the production crew finishes the casting, they will start shooting the series. Producer Kim Kyu-tae, who directed various hit dramas like “That Winter, the Wind Blows,” and “It’s Okay, that’s Love,” will head the production.
