K-pop celebrities Choi Si-won of Super Junior and Shim Chang-min of TVXQ will simultaneously assume their military duties on Nov. 19.

SM Entertainment, the two stars’ agency, said Friday there will be no special press or fan events.

“We have respected their choice to enter the army quietly. We ask for your kind understanding,” SM announced.

Siwon and Changmin were both accepted into the conscripted police force in July.

Siwon’s latest TV drama, “She Was Pretty,” aired its final episode Wednesday.
