MBLAQ Seungho to act in ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Grandpa’

K-pop trio MBLAQ’s Seungho will debut as an actor in the upcoming movie “Rock ‘N’ Roll Grandpa” (literal translation), his agency announced Monday.

According to J. Tune Camp, Seungho will play a bright and confident 20-year-old Kee Ho-tae, who calls himself a ‘voluntary applicant for temporary position’ and works at a refrigerated warehouse. The film will portray a boy full of dreams who rekindles an old man’s passion.

J. Tune Camp said, “Seungho is both very excited and nervous, as this is his first acting project. His character in the movie plays a guitar, so at the moment he is practicing guitar and acting. Please give him your warm welcome and love.”

Actors Oh Gwang-rok, Ha Eun-sul and singer Yoon Soo-il are also cast in the film. Top-notch musicians including Ham Choon-ho, Kang Soo-ho, Hong Joon-ho, Song young-joo are to participate in the music scores, while director Lee Jang-hee, a former band member, will oversee the whole production.

The film is aiming to release in October, next year.

A press conference for “Rock 'N' Roll Grandpa” will take place on Monday at 3 p.m. in Busan.
