South Korean broadcaster KBS2 released photos of actress Shin Min-a masqueraded as a corpulent lady. The actress, who is set to play an overweight lawyer in upcoming KBS drama “Oh My Venus,” had to go through a special-effect makeup which took as much as three hours. Makeup professionals molded Shin’s face and added flabs made of silicon, to make her look chubby.

“It was a totally new experience,” said Shin, adding, “Although it was quite difficult, it was fun at the same time as all the staff have been supporting me.”

The upcoming rom-com “Oh My Venus” revolves around an obese woman, who was once slim and pretty in her high school, falling in love with a famous fitness trainer. The drama will hit the airwaves Mondays and Tuesdays from Nov. 16 at 10 p.m.
