“The five members of Big Bang -- G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P, Daesung and Seungri have all extended their contract with YG,” the officials said. The current contract would expire in December.

“This is an unusual case in the Korean entertainment industry (to extend a contract after 10 years together), establishing a good precedent of trust and loyalty in each other,” YG officials said.

This marks the popular boy band’s third contract with YG since making their debut under the label in 2006.

The group will embark on a four-day tour in Japan starting with the Tokyo leg on Nov. 12. They are also taking part in the 2015 Melon Music Awards on Nov. 7.
