Japanese actress Ueno Juri and singer-actor T.O.P of Big Bang appeared on the V app at 8 p.m. on Wednesday to talk about their upcoming Web-drama “Secret Message.”

During their special show, the two casually exchanged conversation and answered various questions fans were curious about.
T.O.P revealed his expectations were high when he heard Ueno Juri would play opposite him.

“I liked Ueno Juri’s works and her acting style,” T.O.P said. “When I heard that I will finally be meeting her through this drama, I got curious. My expectation was high on the kind of synergy (we would) create.”

Ueno said she didn’t listen to Big Bang’s songs on purpose. After she knew T.O.P would be acting with her, she didn’t listen to them because she wanted to think of him as for the role of Woo-hyun, instead of as a member of Big Bang.

“But I heard Big Bang is having a concert in Japan in the future,” she said. “I will definitely go.”

They also revealed that the two exchanged text messages prior to meeting each other in person.

“I texted her first,” said T.O.P.

But later, Ueno revealed that one of the texts she received was to tell her to watch his new music video “Bae Bae,” drawing laughter from the audience. “I haven’t watched (the music video) yet though,” said Ueno.

The upcoming romantic drama tells the story between Korean man Woo-hyun, played by T.O.P, and Japanese woman Haruka, played by Ueno, both of whom are searching for new love to overcome pains from past relationships.

The drama will premiere on Nov. 2 via Naver TV Cast.

At 11:30 p.m., members of girl groups T-ara and DIA entered a much-anticipated cooking competition on the app.
During the show, Seunghee and Chaeyeon of DIA competed against a team of Eunjung and Hyomin of T-ara in cooking a late-night meal.

The DIA team cooked a typical Korean late night meal, tteokbokki and spicy chili kimbap, while the T-ara team chose a fusion-style meal -- a kimchi sandwich and squid stuffed with pork belly.

They cooked for more than 30 minutes. After both of the teams were done, other DIA members, Qri of T-ara and staff members voted on which dish tasted better. After the vote, T-ara won the cooking showdown 7 to 3.

As promised earlier in the show, the losing team DIA will buy snacks for the fans of both DIA and T-ara during the upcoming music program “The Show.”

“We won, but we will be there when DIA is giving out the snacks to see our fans,” said Eunjung.

Earlier at 7 p.m., Minhyuk and Kihyun of Monsta X went live for their first official program. The two became disc jockeys and read different stories sent in from fans and played song requests.

Also on Wednesday night, April broadcasted their third episode of variety show “April will Go.” The girl group, which is gaining popular for their innocent and cute image, joined the “meokbang” (eating broadcast), devouring crab stew and rice for lunch and having a barbecue party for dinner. The six members grilled pork belly, mushroom and sausages and served them with vegetables.
