Yedang Entertainment said Tuesday that five-member girl group EXID is gearing up to return to the music scene, ending a seven-month hiatus.

The quintet is aiming to drop a new single in November, although it was originally scheduled to be unveiled in September. The members postponed it to produce a higher quality track.

The upcoming track is made by composer Shinsadong Tiger, who played the lead role in the group’s biggest hit, “Up and Down.”

“If there is no variable, the members will begin shooting their music video early next month,” said an official from the agency.

Although EXID debuted in 2012, it shot to stardom since last year, when short clips of the group’s street performances of “Up and Down” went viral via social media. Hani’s stunning appearance contributed best for drawing people attention toward the group.
