Leading hallyu star Park Shin-hye has posted a number of music recommendations since joining Instagram a year ago.

Following are the eight songs Park so far has publicly endorsed along with her comments, in reverse chronology.

1. “The Good Old Days” by Tei
Park’s comment:“The more I listen to it, the more I like it. What a night full of fall. Good-night, everyone.”

“The Good Old Days” sings of loneliness, regret, terminated love and longing for the bygone sweet days.

2. “Flower” by Lee Seung-hwan
Park‘s comment: “Today I will become a flower.”

“Flower” finishes off with lyrics, “after all your suns are set and gone, I’ll come to you and become a flower. Upon the bed of grass where my love forever rests, I‘ll become a flower.”

3. “Oversleep” by Time To Date
Park’s comment: “Pretty voice ... Your voice makes me feel good, lady.”

“Oversleep” is a light-beat narrative by a girl to her love, “I overslept again, after thinking about you all night last night. I could do this every day, if every day felt this happy.”

4. “Campus Couple (with Rooftop Moonlight)” by Peppertones
Park’s comment: “Two days before the start of my final semester. Let’s go!”

“Campus Couple” is a funny ballad, with two contrasting verses. The first verse sings of shining young college lovebirds, picturesque against the spring sunshine and flowers. The second verse turns on them and wishes they would disappear out of sight, never come near and for rain and thunder to strike them.

5. “Dream” by Priscilla Ahn
Park‘s comment: “’I had a dream. That I could fly from the highest swing. I had a dream’ ... I want to live this much.”

The lyrics of “Dream” are like a swan song of a grayed woman who recounts her life from youth up to imminent death, satisfied and happy for the life she has led.

6. “From January to June” by Yoon Jong-shin
Park’s comment: “That Ichon-dong road~~ whenever I pass the streets the memories come afresh as if yesterday~~ Sigh, I should stop now.”

Another breakup song, the song reminisces of a past love that lasted from January to June: “Would she know my heart always fluttered on my way to pick her up? ... That Ichon-dong road, whenever I pass the streets, the memories come afresh as if yesterday.”

7. “Hug Me” by Jung Joon-il
Park’s comment:“Warning: dangerous to listen to alone at night.”

“Hug Me” is a mournful love song for a distancing love. As the lyrics go, “The countless nights I resented you were living hell to me. Please don’t let go of me.”

8. “Eat” by Zion.T
Park’s comment: “Since ‘One Last Night,’ Zion.T doesn‘t disappoint. Going to listen to this over and over on my way to Beijing. I want to be complimented, too.”

Zion.T says he will compliment those who don’t forget to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. He bids the listeners listen to his song as if it was a piece of chocolate or an apple, saying you should “eat this song when you are hungry.”
