Solar of girl group Mamamoo will make her acting debut in the drama “Imagine Cat” to be aired on MBC Everyone, a cable channel operated by MBC.

According to the reports, the singer will star opposite Yoo Seung-ho.

Solar will play the first love of Yoo’s character in the drama based on a popular Web cartoon of the same name, the reports said.

Frst published in June 2014, “Imagine Cat” is a story of cats and human beings living together and was one of the most read Web cartoons last year.

Yoo plays a part-time worker at a bookstore who overcomes his personality issues by raising a cat.

The drama made headlines earlier by casting Cho Hae-jung, better known as Cho Jae-hyun’s daughter, who was criticized for using her father’s fame to bag a role.

“Imagine Cat” will hit the airwaves in November.
