K-pop boy band SHINee member Jonghyun talked about his recent EP “Story Op.1,” in an interview published in the November issue of the fashion magazine Allure Korea.

In the natural-looking photo taken at a club in Seoul, the singer effused his virile charisma with a strong gaze, holding his guitar. He donned a jacket with leopard patterns over a denim shirt and jeans, which looked quite stylish on him.

In an interview with the magazine, the star talked about his musical philosophy, career and novel.

“I think music is like story-telling,” said Jonghyun, adding, “Singers should be able to tell stories that fans can empathize, commune with, through songs and lyrics.”

The versatile singer has also recently released his first novel titled “Skeleton Flower,” showing off his talent as a writer.

He also explained he always thought that “imagination” is the greatest strength of music. “Let’s take a sad breakup as an example.

Music has open endings; it never tells you why and how you broke up with your love. It rather focuses on your emotions,” Jonghyun explained, adding he always wanted to write about more complicated, sophisticated feelings that are connected to his songs.

The photo spread, including more of his photos and the entire interview, will be published in the magazine’s November issue.
