K-pop girl group AOA has made their debut on Japan’s Oricon chart with its first Japanese album.

The group’s first full-length Japanese album, Ace of Angles, ranked at no. 2 in terms of album sales on Thursday, just a day after its release.

The sales figure is similar to that of the chart topper French Kiss, a unit band under Japan’s AKB48, its agency said.

AOA’s first Japanese album contains 11 songs including title track “Oh Boy” and other dreamy songs such as “Lemon Slush” and “Stay with Me.”

The agency said the group will hold promotional events in Fukuoka, Osaka and Tokyo from Thursday.
