Actor Yoo Ah-in’s philanthropic funding of a child leukemia patient’s surgery is belatedly receiving laudatory attention.

According to Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation, Yoo had sponsored a 7-year-old leukemic child’s bone-marrow transplant procedure in mid-September.

Yoo’s fan club members have openly been supporting the foundation for some time now, but this charitable reaching out was done personally by the star, separately from the fan club activities.

The 29-year-old is also known to be privately supporting two other sick children.

Yoo became the talk of the movie world since his striking performance in 10-million-seller crime-action flick “Veteran” in August. He currently appears as character Lee Bang-won in Monday-Tuesday TV drama “Six Flying Dragons.”
