YG Entertainment artists including Big Bang and 2NE1 are unlikely to attend the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards, the agency said on Tuesday.

YG reportedly has no plans to make their singers attend MAMA as they have not received an invitation from the organizer and cable channel Mnet, an executive-level official was quoted as saying in Ilgan Sports’ report.

With less than two months left for the annual awards -- to be held on Dec. 2 in Hong Kong -- Mnet has not discussed any related matter with the agency, the official said.

“It usually takes at least two months to cast, direct and select candidates for the awards,” the official was quoted as saying.

“At this point, we think it’s difficult for YG musicians to join the ceremony. It’s a bit strange that there’s been no mention at all about our stage set or artists’ appearance,” he added.

YG Entertainment has a slew of popular musicians under its label, including Epik High, Psy, Winner, Jinusean and Akdong Musician.
