The Wednesday-Thursday TV series “The Village: Achiara’s Secret,” starring BTOB singer Yook Sung-jae and actress Moon Geun-young, will air its first episode on Wednesday.

Yook’s acting skills were vetted through his starring role on KBS2’s April-June TV drama “Who Are You: School 2015.”

In the new thriller drama, he will play an eager cop who jumps into a criminal case.

Actress Moon Geun-young will play the female lead, an English teacher new to the remote town where the drama unravels. She stumbles upon the body of a dead woman, triggering a series of events.

As the two get entangled in the case, they realize the beautiful, secluded village of Achiara is not as it first seems.

The first episode of “The Village: Achiara’s Secret” will air at 10 p.m. on SBS.
