LA Times exalts Big Bang’s world tour
(YG Entertainment) |
The Los Angeles Times praised K-pop boy group Big Bang’s concert held Sunday night at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
“It’s hard to imagine a band in the U.S., with its relentless limits on genre and demographics, being able to pull off such featherweight ballads and hard-knuckle rapping at the same show,” the U.S. newspaper wrote.
It referred to the tour as an “incredibly significant moment for K-pop,” as the genre has now become “lingua franca” and is no longer a mere rising curiosity.
The group embarked on its second world tour on Oct. 2 in the western part of the country -- Las Vegas and Anaheim.
