An array of K-pop boy acts are planning to release new albums in October, all vying to win the hearts of K-pop fans. They include the rookie group iKON, sensationally popular BTS, rising BTOB and Junsu of JYJ.

iKON, which made a chart-topping debut with single “My Type” in September, will release a six-track EP “Welcome Back” on Oct. 1. The EP contains half of the songs from the full 12-track album, which will be released on Nov. 2.

iKON (YG Entertainment)
YG Entertainment’s newest group -- comprising leader B.I, Jinhwan, Bobby, Yunhyeong, Junhoe, Donghyuk and Chanwoo -- garnered a strong fan base even before its debut through reality survival programs, “Win: Who is Next” and “Mix & Match.”

The medium tempo hip-hop track “My Type” ranked No.1 on major local charts in Sept., proving the rookie group’s onward to success.

Seven-member BTOB had a successful year so far with its youngest member Yook Sung-jae starring in popular TV dramas and variety shows and the group releasing its first full-length album in June since its debut in 2012.

In mid-October, the rising band will release a new album and return to the music scene. The exact date is yet to be determined. The upcoming album will be filled with relaxing, sentimental ballad tracks.

BTS, regarded as one of the hottest K-pop acts today, will release a new album “The Most Beautiful Moment, Part 2” in October.

BTS (Big Hit Entertainment)
Earlier in April, BTS released the EP “The Most Beautiful Moment, Part 1” and ranked No.1 on local charts with the songs “I Need U” and “Dope.”

The seven-member is also planning to hold a concert titled “The Most Beautiful Moment on Stage” at Seoul’s SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium on Nov. 27-29.

Junsu of JYJ is set to release a solo album in October, a great news for JYJ fans as two other members, Jaejoong and Yoochun, left the music scene for the two-year-long mandatory military service.

Junsu (C-JeS Entertainment)
His upcoming album arrives in October, seven months since last album “Flower,” which has ranked high on local music charts.

Junsu’s album will include ballad and dance numbers that reflect fall and winter season, highlighting Junsu’s unique voice, his label C-JeS Entertainment said.

The singer will also hold Asia Tour Concert in Japan, China and Korea. He will kick off the series in Yokohama Stadium in Japan on Oct. 24-25.
