JYP Entertainment’s newest six-member boy group DAY6 performed outdoors on Saturday at Seoul’s Banpo and Yeouido. The group alerted fans to their sporadic performances via V app and their Yeouido act was broadcast live. Fans gave enthusiastic reactions to the rookie rock group, singing along and screaming for the boys.

Girl group 4Minute aired its first V app segment from their fan event’s green room. They gasped and giggled at each feature of the application before saying, “We saw a Twitter post by a fan who forgot her event tickets back in Daegu. Just come without the ticket! Everyone who’s bored, just drop by our event,” members said. The second fan event since 4Minute’s debut, the five girls said they would talk a lot with their fans this time and that they each had something special prepared for their followers.

All members of rookie group BOYFRIEND were present for their special V broadcast on Saturday. “This is the first time we’re doing this all together,” they said, “it’s hard to get everyone in the frame.” The six members played a Korean game “Yoot,” traditionally played between family members during Chuseok holidays. Chuseok, Korean equivalent to Thanksgiving, fall on the next weekend. “We even brought rice cakes,” said the members, tasting a few morsels. They explained the rules of the game for international fans.

Duo Fly To The Sky began their V broadcast minutes before the beginning of their autograph-signing fan event. “We just came from ‘Music Core’ and the traffic was bad. Please take care in making your way here. For those of you who are unable to come today, don’t worry, we’ll prepare many events like this from now,” said Hwanhee. Brian added in English, “We start our autograph-signing in two minutes. All you fans out there in Korea, come watch us today. There’re only 100 people chosen to get autographs, but do come and cheer us on, if you can. And our concert is coming up next month.”

Cube Entertainment’s singer and musical performer Roh Ji-hoon broadcast a segment prior to his fan event to promote his newest album “Feeling” and its title song “If You Were Me.” He sang a string of his songs on camera without instruments. “This is my first time to meet you on V as one of Cube’s artists. I wish to make more frequent appearances on V. Is that OK with you?” he asked the fans. The video continued throughout his fan event, at which Roh met with diverse fans, some having flown in from overseas. One Japanese fan spoke to Roh eagerly in Korean.

Singer Lee Seung-hwan said he just finished singing 66 songs. “I never want to do it again,” he joked, panting. From the back, actress Park Shin-hye poked out her head to say hello. Lee is a veteran singer in the Korean music scene and is well connected with talented young celebrities.

Infinite’s Woohyun made an hourlong appearance, speaking about his near-death experience he had when he was younger. He said on a rainy day, he had accidentally slipped into an inundated stream. As he was being dragged down in the fast current, someone miraculously saved him with an inflated tube. Woohyun took this opportunity to thank his savior. The singer continued to candidly talk on the camera regarding his childhood and how he came to be the person he is today.
