Kim Yong-jun from South Korean trio SG Wannabe, was rooting for his ex-girlfriend, actress Hwang Jung-eum, in the latest episode of MBC variety show “Radio Star” on Wednesday.

Asked about his view of Hwang starring in MBC drama series “She Was Pretty,” Kim said, “I hope the drama goes well since she always tries to do her best at everything.”

Kim Gu-ra, one of the hosts on the program, said, “Kim Yong-jun actually hesitated whether to appear in the show or not. Well, in my perspective, it’s better to forget one’s past girlfriend with new love.”

Kim Yong-jun responded, “Like you said, new love will someday come to me. However, I don’t really like meeting a person through a blind date.”

Kim and Hwang made their romantic relationship public in 2006 and even appeared as a real couple in MBC‘s mock marriage variety show “We Got Married” in its second season.

However, the couple broke up early this year, ending a nine-year relationship.

In “She Was Pretty,” Hwang plays the central character named Kim Hye-jin. Kim made her comeback as a member of SG Wannabe with the new EP “The Voice,” ending a four-year hiatus.
