Actors Jo Jung-suk and Park Bo-young who played a couple in the recent TV drama “Oh My Ghostess” are now competing with each other as lead actors of different films.

Jo plays a city desk reporter in “Scoop,” making his debut on the big screen.

“The character I play is someone in a very bad situation, surrounded by enemies on all sides. I try to capture all the emotional aspects of anxiety and nerves of the character,” Jo said.

Park stars in another film titled “Collective Invention,” playing a warm-hearted woman who takes care of a mutated man.

Both “Collective Invention” and “Scoop” are set to premiere on Oct. 22.
