FNC Entertainment said Wednesday the Chinese version of “Cinderella” by CNBLUE will be used as the theme song for upcoming Korean-Chinese film “The Bad Man Must Die.”

The film, starring South Korean actress Son Ye-jin and Taiwanese actor Chen Bolin, is jointly produced by Korean director Kang Je-gyu and Chinese directors Feng Xiaogang and Sun Hao.

It is a black comedy dealing with the story of Chinese-speaking male teacher (Chen Bolin) meeting a mysterious woman, played by Son, on Jejudo Island.

“CNBLUE’s musicality and strong vocals are expected to suit the film well,” said Huayi Brothers, an entertainment company in China.

The film is set to premiere on Oct. 23 in China.
