World Vision Korea announced Wednesday that singer and TV personality Kim Jong-kook’s international fan club KJKNTL recently donated 20 bags of rice (400 kilograms) in celebration of the 20th anniversary of his debut.

“Kim loves children and is highly interested in health. We hope children in the world grow up healthy like Kim,” the fan club said, describing the reason for their donation.

The organization is scheduled to use the donated rice for the “Love-Lunch Box Project,” which aims to respect the right for every child to eat by providing the ones in need with free lunch boxes.

The love-lunch boxes are now being delivered to 2,260 people in 11 regions nationwide.

“We would like to convey gratitude to Kim’s fan club being a big help to us. I hope more fans like them proliferate in the future,” said Jun Young-soon, the head of the World Vision Korea’s domestic ministry.
