Kim Kyu-jong, a member of boy group SS501, is set to hold a solo concert in Tokyo on Sunday.

Kim previously dropped his first single “Drawing Love” in Japan this year and once took the first place in the weekly album sales chart compiled by Tower Records.

The 29-year-old made his solo debut in 2011 with his album “Turn Me On.” The title song of the album was “Yesterday.” Kim also showed up on various TV dramas as an actor and took part in musicals, including “Singin’ In the Rain” and “The Palace.”

“Since it is Kim’s first solo concert, he has been making great efforts. He has tried to come up with creative ideas to make the concert more meaningful,” said an official from B2M Entertainment.

The singer recently has finished shooting for the Web drama “Start Love,” playing the protagonist Hee-min. The drama is set to be released on Naver’s TV Cast this month.
