Actor Yoo Ah-in, who shot to fame with recent hit film “Veteran,” shared his views about his upcoming film “The Throne” and his enlistment on Monday.

From “Veteran,” which attracted more than 10 million viewers, to Korea’s Academy award entry “The Throne” and upcoming SBS drama “Six Flying Dragons,” the actor is undeniably at a new peak in his career, starring in a number of megahit TV dramas and films.

“The Throne” is based on the historical event of King Yeongjo of the Joseon era executing his son Sado by locking him in a rice chest for eight days. In the film, slated to premiere on Sept. 16, Yoo plays the tragic heir, whereas King Yeongjo is personated by top Korean actor Song Kang-ho.

When asked about his enlistment, the young actor burst into laughter, saying, “It’s good that I’m getting enlisted while everything’s working out well.” He said he would serve his mandatory military duty after shooting the upcoming SBS drama “Six Flying Dragons,” which will take six to seven months.

The much-anticipated “The Throne,” starring Song Kang-ho, Moon Geun-young and Kim Hae-sook, among others, is set to open on Sept. 16.
