Actor Joo Won, who is currently starring in the SBS hit drama “Yong-pal,” has reportedly lost 7 kilograms since the TV drama’s first episode due to his hectic schedule, according to local news outlets.

The 27-year-old did not use a stunt double for dangerous scenes, such as jumping off a bridge or a breathtaking car chase, adding realism to the scenes. The actor has been putting every ounce of his energy into the drama, even depriving himself of sleep. The drama has been hugely popular in the ratings by virtue of the actor’s enormous effort and enthusiasm.

“Yong-pal” is a medical drama featuring a resident doctor who falls in love with a beautiful patient in a coma, entangled with a corporate family feud.

The star-studded drama starring Joo Won, Kim Tae-hee and Jung Woong-in airs Wednesdays and Thursdays on SBS at 10 p.m.
