Lee Ki-hong of “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials” said Thursday that he would kill Thomas Brodie-Sangster should he become a zombie.

At the “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials” press conference held in Seoul on Thursday, a reporter asked starring actors Lee Ki-hong and Thomas Brodie-Sangster to be in character and imagine Newt (Brodie-Sangster’s character) progressively turning into a zombie.
The reporter asked Lee Ki-hong, who plays Newt’s friend and best runner Minho in the post-apocalyptic action film, what he would do in this imaginary scenario.

Lee turned around to Brodie-Sangster, seated beside him in the conference hall, and stroked his costar’s head with a trusting smile. He then motioned as if holding a weapon in his hand and struck Brodie-Sangster with it in the air.

“I don’t want him to kill all you guys so I’ll take him out for humanity. He’ll do the same for me,” said the playful 28 year-old, laughing.
The second installment in the “Maze Runner” trilogy, “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials” will open in South Korea on Sept. 17 and in the U.S. on Sept. 18.
