Actor Song Joong-ki is set to throw the first pitch at Daejeon Ballpark in South Chungcheong Province on Saturday, in support of Hanwha Eagles.

Born and raised in Daejeon, the team’s home ground, the actor is known to be a big fan of the Eagles.

The actor has been consistently expressing his love for the team, saying, “Hanwha Eagles gave me so much energy while I was serving my military duty,” during an interview with a local news outlet.

The 29-year-old is currently shooting for the new KBS drama, “Descendants of the Sun,” where he is paired with actress Song Hye-kyo.
