Boy group BTS made a surprise short appearance on V at midnight Tuesday to celebrate Jungkook’s birthday. The members, who were hanging out at home, brought Jungkook a cake and joked around about what they would get him, exaggerating the size of each other’s gifts.

Earlier in the day, Rapper Jessi of Lucky J kicked off her first broadcast on Naver’s V App. She showed up onscreen in a baby pink sports bra, and explained that she was shooting a commercial for the sports brand Head.

Jessi went around the studio introducing her staff and her parents, whom she had not seen in a long time. She also made sure to say hello to fans from different countries who were giving her live feedback, mentioning several times that it was difficult for her to alternate between Korean and English. She also promoted her upcoming digital single.

Jessi -- or a version of her -- appeared again Tuesday on “Mamamoo TV #7: I’m Pretty Rapstar.” The members of Mamamoo transformed themselves into the cast of “Unpretty Rapstar Season 1.” The parody focused on the day when the rappers first met, and in particular Jessi’s now-infamous warning rap to the other contestants, including the line “We’re not a team/This is a competition.”

Eric Nam also made two appearances, one before the taping of Arirang TV’s “After School Club” and another right before bed. In the first clip, he was shown fooling around with his co-MC, the energetic Jimin of 15&. In the second clip, he was sitting in his room freshly showered, ready to go to bed as he talked about a new song from girl group Playback coming out Wednesday featuring himself.

Monsta X had their third episode of “Monsta X-File.” With Hyungwon taking the role of host, the members said hello to their fans dressed in school uniforms from a photo shoot for photo cards to be included in their next album. At their fans’ request, they also showed off cute and sexy poses, and promoted their upcoming song “Swiftly.”

At 11 p.m., FT Island’s Minhwan wrapped up the day with “Real Minarid 3.” He was in Japan to perform FT Island’s new song “Puppy.” Instead of having a set talk topic, he decided to spend the show playing a game with his fans where they had to guess the word he was silently mouthing.

Meanwhile, actor Joo Won checked in from the set of his drama, where fans had sent food and coffee; Fly to the Sky and rapper Cheetah uploaded videos showing behind-the scenes footage of a music video shoot for their upcoming songs. The cast of the upcoming travel-themed reality show “New Journey to the West” -- Kang Ho-dong, Lee Seung-gi, Lee Soo-geun and Eun Ji-won -- also said hello from backstage at their press conference.
