In the eighth episode of TV drama “Yong-pal” broadcast Thursday, the male and female leads sealed their love with a kiss.

The quick transition took place as Tae-hyun (Joo Won) brought wheelchair-bound Yeo-jin (Kim Tae-hee) to the chapel where her deceased ex-lover had been buried.

There he leaves the distraught heiress, telling her: “You’re free. Take your time to recuperate here and return to the world of the predators where you belong. You and I are from two different worlds, for a brief moment I almost forgot that.”

He hands a cellphone to Yeo-jin, “Once you make a phone call, your location will be tracked. Use this phone wisely.”

As he leaves the chapel Tae-hyun adds a few last words, saying, “I don’t want to be jealous of a dead person.”

After Tae-hyun is gone, Yeo-jin stares hard at the tombstone of her past love.

She picks up the cellphone and dials Tae-hyun’s number and gives him 30 seconds to come back or she’ll never see him again.

Tae-hyun hadn’t really left, but was waiting for Yeo-jin’s decision to call him.

The elated man runs back to his crush and they take refuge in the chapel’s adjacent rooms provided by the cathedral’s priest who jokingly warns them “not to do anything funny during the night.”

The next morning the two lovebirds sit side-by-side at the chapel.

Tae-hyun tells Yeo-jin that she cannot hide for much longer from her vicious family, as they will soon stage her funeral.

He quickly assures her not to worry about his safety, because as a mercenary medic, he has gangster patients as allies.

Yeo-jin softly says, “You said I could make only one phone call with this cell. A call of a lifetime ... that’s you.”
