Psy won a lawsuit against a tenant of his Seoul property Thursday, four months after the rapper was accused of trying to evict the owner of an experimental cafe.

The tenant, identified only by her surname Choi, was ordered to relinquish the fifth and sixth floors of the building that houses Takeout Drawing, a cafe she owns that doubles as a gallery and provides studio space for artists in the upscale neighborhood of Hannam in central Seoul, the Seoul Western District Court said.

She was also ordered to pay 65 million won ($55,000), the amount of money she made as a result of occupying the building illegally, to the rapper, Judge Shin Heon-seok said.

Psy canceled his plans to evict Choi in April after the case drew unwanted media attention.

Choi had assembled an entourage of merchants also facing eviction to protest the move. She accused Psy of being a hypocrite for oppressing artists with lesser means than him, whose net worth is estimated at $45 million, according to U.S. website Celebrity Net Worth.

Takeout Drawing was launched in 2010 under a different landlord who told Choi she may renew the lease for however long it pleases her, Choi said.

The owner of the building changed twice without her knowledge and Psy tried to kick her out to make way for a more profitable cafe franchise, she added.

Takeout Drawing was made famous after the South Korean romance flick "Architecture 101," starring female idol Suzy, was filmed there. (Yonhap)
