Uhm Jung-hwa’s comeback imminent as a singer

Sexy Korean actress-singer Uhm Jung-hwa is set to make a comeback as a singer soon, after a seven-year hiatus.

The exact date of her comeback has not yet been fixed, but it is expected to be within the year.

According to an anonymous insider, renowned composers and lyric writers are participating on her new album.

Uhm debuted as a singer in 1993 with her “Sorrowful Secret” album and on film with “We Must Go to Apgujung-Dong on Windy Days” in 1992.

Her last track was “Disco,” featured by T.O.P from Big Bang, which was released in 2008. The song’s electronic sound with funky dance moves gained nationwide popularity.

Other hit songs include “Poison” and “Invitation,” which earned her the name “Madonna of Korea.”

She also has proven her talent as an actress through various movies, including “Marriage Is a Crazy Thing,” “Singles,” “Princess Aurora,” “Dancing Queen” and “Haeundae.”

Meanwhile, the film “Wonderful Nightmare” starring Uhm is slated to be released on Thursday.
