“Equals,” starring Christine Stewart and Nicholas Hoult, tells a love story in a futuristic setting of an emotionless world.

The film, directed by Drake Doremus, known for the 2013 film “Breathe In,” also has Korean-German actor Teo Yoo in a supporting role.

No Korean movie has been invited to the Venice film festival this year.

The 72nd Venice International Film Festival will be held Sept. 2-12.
