Singer-actress Suzy has turned down the offer for the female lead-role of upcoming cartoon-based romance drama “Cheese in the Trap.”

“Suzy has been considering it for a long time, yet has decided to refuse the offer,” local media reported Monday.

For the male lead, actor Park Hae-jin has been in place to take the role since early on. Many fans speculated what kind of chemistry they would have, and if Suzy would be a good fit in the role.

The drama will begin filming shortly and will premiere in October on TvN. Producer Lee Yun-jeong of MBC’s hit drama “Coffee Prince” and TvN’s “Heart to Heart” will head up the production.
