Taecyeon shares photos from upcoming political drama 'Assembly'

K-pop singer Taecyeon shared photos from the set of his upcoming political TV drama “Assembly” on Friday.

Taecyeon, who is a member of boy group 2PM, will play a supporting role as an aspiring police officer in “Assembly.” The officer, named Kim Gyu-hwan, studies at the library for his entrance exams by day and works as an official’s chauffeur by night,

“This is my fourth KBS drama, but it’s my first to shoot a drama at the KBS Suwon Drama Production Center,” said Taecyeon.

Taecyeon shared photos from inside the building, which included a cut-out poster of 2PM members. There was also a poster for “Dream High,” a 2011-2012 KBS drama series that starred Taecyeon with group mate Wooyoung.

“Assembly” is written by screenwriter Jung Hyun-min, formerly a Korean parliamentary aide.

The KBS2 TV drama is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from July 15.
