APN was established at the 2006 Busan International Film Festival by 24 film producers from six countries who recognized the need for an organized forum to discuss the future shift of film production from Hollywood to Asia-centric paradigms.

The Bucheon International Film Festival, which will host this year‘s APN, takes place from July 16-26.
