Dior holds free Seoul fashion exhibition

Dior is holding a celebratory exhibition to coincide with the opening of its largest Asian flagship store in Seoul, Saturday.

The French luxury fashion house is showcasing over 100 historical garments that highlight Christan Dior’s couture influences and inspirations from across the world.

“Esprit Dior” showcases dresses, fragrances, accessories and photographs, among other items.

The exhibition is based on 10 themes, spanning 11 spaces, entitled “Paris,” “Dior and Artist Friends,” “Dior Garden,” “Dior Allure,” “Dior Atelier,” “Stars of Dior,” “Versailles: Trianon,” “Miss Dior,” “From Pink to Red” and “J’Adore.”

The exhibition “Esprit Dior” is also showcasing collaborative works with Korean artists -- such as sculptor Suh Do-ho, Kim Hye-reon, Kim Dong-yu, Park Gi-won and Park Seon-gi.

Those who prebook a time slot through the official website will be granted direct admittance, skipping lines.

“Esprit Dior,” which runs until Aug. 25, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with entrance closing at 5:30 p.m. Tour guides are available on weekdays from 2-4 p.m. Admission is free.
