Actors’ pick of best scenes from ‘Northern Limit Line’

The main cast of the movie “Northern Limit Line” -- Jin Goo, Kim Mu-yeol and Lee Hyun-woo -- of the movie “Northern Limit Line” picked what they see as the best scenes.

The movie tells the story of the Second Battle of Yeonpyeong that took place in 2002 when the North Korean navy opened fire on South Korean Navy vessels after entering South Korean waters across the Northern Limit Line in the West Sea.

As a result of the battle, six South Korean sailors lost their lives, and one South Korean navy vessel was sunk.

More than 20 North Korean sailors were wounded and 13 killed before they withdrew back across the sea border.

Kim, who plays Lt. Cmdr. Yoon Young-ha picked the scenes depicting the pitched battle between South and North Korean vessels.

Jin, who took on the role of Chief Petty Officer Han Sang-guk, singled out the scene where his character and enlisted sailors share noodles on deck.

Lee’s pick was the scenes showing the crew of the sunken South Korean ship supporting the South Korean football team in the Korea-Japan World Cup.

Lt. Cmdr. Yoon Young-ha was killed during the battle, Chief Petty Officer Han Sang-guk was found dead after the battle while Lee’s character Petty Officer Second Class Park Dong-hyuk died of wounds sustained during the battle 22 days after the incident.
