Korean actors Kim So-eun and Song Jae-rim shed tears during filming for their last episode on the reality show “We Got Married.”

Kim and Song have portrayed a married couple on the reality show for eight months since first joining the program last September.

“We Got Married,” which premiered in 2008, is a long-running show that places Korean celebrities -- portraying married couples -- in entertaining scenarios.

Kim and Song shared memories of their eight-month on-screen “marriage“ over a charcoal-grilled barbecue beside a vegetable garden. The couple also drank a balloon flower beverage, which they also drank on their first episode on the series.

They received an album and mission cards in a parcel delivery. Song opened the mission card, telling him that their on-screen marriage had come to an end, at which he choked up and shed a few tears.

Kim also tried to stifle tears, but soon burst out crying.

To calm themselves down, they picked lettuce from the vegetable patch for their meal. Over their meal, Kim said, “I’m so sad, but it’s so tasty.”

The final episode featuring Kim and Song, together with another celebrity couple leaving the show -- Henry and Kim Ye-won -- will air Saturday at 5 p.m.

Two replacement couples -- BTOB singer Yook Sung-jae and Red Velvet singer Joy and actors Kang Ye-won and Oh Min-seok -- will join the program the following Saturday on June 20.

Kim So-eun will focus on shooting the upcoming period vampire TV drama “The Scholar Who Walks the Night,” which premieres in July. Song is reportedly considering his next acting role.
