Singer-actor Rain’s first TV drama outing in China is set to begin broadcasting on July 22.

According to reports, the drama starring Rain, or Jung Ji-hoon, will be broadcast in China from July 22 on two networks.

In the TV show, titled “Diamond Lover,” Rain plays the part of a perfectionist chief executive of the world’s largest diamond trading company.

Although Rain has starred in a Chinese movie, this is the first time he is starring in a TV drama.

Alongside Rain, Chinese actress Tang Yan will star in the drama, which began filming in December at various locations including Seoul, Shanghai and Europe.
