As the rapid spread of Middle East respiratory syndrome poses mounting concerns in the country, the K-pop idol duo TVXQ -- consisting of Yunho and Changmin -- has initiated preventive measures for its upcoming concert.

TVXQ is slated to hold two-day concert at Seoul’s Olympic Gymnastics Arena on Saturday and Sunday. It will take place as scheduled, according to the band’s label SM Entertainment on Wednesday.

Before the concert, however, all attendees have to spray antiseptic solution, installed at the entrance of the concert hall. “We will use a spray that is harmless to humans,” said the label.

“We will also fumigate the site by spraying antiseptic solutions inside the concert hall, including the stage, the seats and the waiting area, prior to the concerts on Saturday and Sunday.”

Also, everyone will be required to walk past a thermal imaging camera to enter the hall. “If fever is detected, there will be health professionals onsite to make an accurate diagnosis,” said the label. “People with fever will not be able to watch the performance.”

SM Entertainment asked people with fever, cough or other concerning physical conditions to refrain from coming to the concert. For people who are canceling the show, they will be exempt from paying the cancellation fee. They also asked the audience to put on face masks and follow regular prevention measures, including washing their hands properly.

There will be no outdoor sales stall for purchasing concert merchandise. Instead, the audience can make online purchases on the website, either prior to or after the concert.
