K-pop singers Yook Sung-jae from BTOB and Joy from Red Velvet will star as a new couple on the popular TV mock-marriage reality show "We Got Married," as two of the three celebrity couples confirmed they are leaving.

Singer Henry, from the Chinese-Korean boy group Super Junior-M, and his onscreen "wife" singer-actress Kim Ye-won will exit after only three months on the show.

Another couple, actors Kim So-eun and Song Jae-rim, announced they were leaving last week after eight months on the show.

"We Got Married," which is in its fourth season, features celebrities living as married couples and was first broadcast in 2008.

The remaining couple is CNBLUE singer Lee Jong-hyun and rookie actress Gong Seung-yeon, who joined the same time as departing couple Henry and Yewon in mid-March.

Yewon notably faced pressure before joining the show to preemptively back out, due to controversies with another actress Lee Tae-im on a separate reality program. Lee had been caught hurling insults at Yewon, but defended her actions saying that Yewon had spoken "informally" to her.

Yewon belatedly apologized for the controversies on Wednesday, three months after the incident took place in early March.

From the other departing couple, actress Kim So-eun plans to focus on filming for an upcoming vampire TV drama, "The Scholar Who Walks the Night," in which she plays a supporting role.

MBC is expected to make an announcement about the second replacement couple soon.

"We Got Married" airs every Saturday at 5 p.m.
