K-pop group 2PM, that was expected to clash with rival group Big Bang and spark a full-on popularity battle, has postponed its album release date from the initially pitched June 1.

JYP Entertainment said the sextet had to involuntarily postpone the plan due to the unexpected cancellation by its contracted music video production company Dexter Lab.

“Due to the irresponsible action (by Dexter Lab), we had to restart the music video production from scratch. We (JYP) will pursue strict legal action against the production company’s incomprehensible withdrawal and the damage caused to the artists and our company.”

The group will film its 5th regular EP’s music video on Tuesday and Wednesday and release the album in mid-June. The detailed date has not been specified.

2PM is slated to perform its comeback performance, “2015 2PM concert House Party,” on June 27-28 at Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Hall.

YG Entertainment’s leading boy group Big Bang went through with its promised schedule and released its second single EP “A” from the “MADE” series on June 1.
