Won and Lee exchanged their vows at a remote location situated among natural scenery in Won’s hometown in Jeongseon County, Gangwon Province.

Attendees were strictly restricted to about 50 family members and select friends, according to reports.

Won and Lee, who belong to the same talent agency, are said to have first met in 2011 through a mutual acquaintance. Both confirmed that they started a romantic relationship in 2012.

An agency source denied that the unexpected wedding was a shotgun affair, denying rumors that Lee was pregnant.

The newlyweds will return to their home in Bangbae-dong, Seoul, before scheduling plans for their honeymoon, according to their agency.

Won, 37, is a popular Korean actor known for his roles in the romantic TV drama "Autumn in My Heart" in 2000 and a string of box office hits, including "Taegukgi" (2004) and "Mother" (2009). His most recent acting project was "The Man from Nowhere" in 2010.

Lee, 36, is a former TV commercial model and has also enjoyed success as an actress.
