Cast members of the upcoming TV drama "The Producers," including actor Kim Soo-hyun, made a colorful entry at a production press conference on Monday in Seoul.

Kim, who stars in the lead role as an aspiring producer, sported a spiky hairstyle and wore a matching dotted waistcoat-and-jacket ensemble.

Gong Hyo-jin, who acts a successful music program producer, wore an eye-catching graphic print dress. The olive green and white dress had slit sleeves.

K-pop singer IU, who appears as a feisty K-pop sensation in the drama, wore a pastel pink-and-yellow dress that also had a ribbon detail.

The singer also wore mustard-colored T-bar platform shoes.

Cha Tae-hyun wore a navy suit with an intricate floral pattern over a plain white T-shirt. Cha plays a reality TV show producer, employed in the industry for eight years.

"The drama has been edited to mimic the entertainment industry," said Cha, who said the series stood out in that it closely resembles show business. "I'm curious about how (those scenes) will be shown."

"The Producers" kicks off Friday at 9:15 p.m.
