2PM’s label JYP Entertainment announced on Thursday that the group -- consisting of Jun. K, Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Junho and Chansung -- will make a return to the music scene with their fifth LP. The group, with the release of the album, is slated to hold concerts at Seoul Olympic Park’s Gymnastic Stadium on June 27-28.

Big Bang -- consisting of G-Dragon, T.O.P., Taeyang, Daesung, Seungri -- will release its second EP “A” as part of their project album “Made” on June 1. “Made” unveils a new EP on the first day of every month from May to August. Fierce competition is expected between 2PM and Big Bang, the figureheads of the rival entertainment giants, JYP Entertainment and YG Entertainment, respectively.

Both groups will compete with their self-written songs. Jun.K., who has written “Go Crazy” from the previous album, will write the lyrics to the title track of the upcoming 2PM album.

G-Dragon, Taeyang and T.O.P., who had taken part in writing the latest songs, “Bae Bae” and “Loser,” will also participate in the upcoming June 1 release.
