BoA stars in Elle, says she feels blue lately

Singer BoA, who launched her new single "Who Are You" on Wednesday, stars in photos and an article in Elle magazine.

The K-pop singer told the magazine that she often feels "slightly depressed these days," which she says she overcomes by watching fun movies, listening to music and occasionally drinking alcohol.

BoA also said to Elle Korea that she wants to showcase a more "laid-back image," in contrast to her previous fierce and fearless image. Her upcoming EP "Kiss My Lips," which releases on May 12, will reflect this atmospheric change.

Regarding skincare and exercise, BoA said that she has "sensitive skin," which is why she favors gentle cosmetics products. The singer also said she always washes her hair before she sleeps to avoid bacteria on her pillow.

The Korean singer, 28, said she focuses on weight-training, with a preference for high-intensity workouts.

BoA, whose real name is Kwon Bo-a, is a successful K-pop singer in Korea, Japan and other Asian countries. She has also had hit singles in the United States.

BoA achieved breakout musical success at the age of 15. Her agency is still SM Entertainment, which she joined as a trainee at age 11.
