Korean actor Jang Hyuk is the father of a new baby girl, according to reports Thursday.

Jang's wife Kim Yeo-jin gave birth to their first daughter, who joins a family of two sons, on April 16 in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

Both mother and daughter are said to be healthy. The daughter weighed 3.5 kg at birth.

Jang married ballerina Kim, who is two years older than him, in June 2008. The wedding followed a legal marriage registration and the birth of their first son Jang Jae-heon earlier in February of the same year.

Their second son, Jang Seung-heon, was born in November 2009.

Actor Jang achieved his career breakthrough in the 1999 drama series "The School," and has since featured in box office hits "The Slave Hunters," "Deep Rooted Tree," "Fated to Love You" and "Shine or Go Crazy."

Jang is currently in shooting for the Chinese film "Inside or Outside" (working title) in Taiwan, with occasional trips to Korea.
