The Chinese version of MBC’s reality show “We Got Married” has kicked off to a promising start in China, nabbing the first place in viewership ratings in its time slot, local and Chinese media reported Tuesday.

According to Chinese research company CSM, the second episode of the program achieved a rating of 1.045 percent, which is higher than average ratings in China.

Titled “Wo Men Xiang Ai Ba” in Chinese, the program had already surpassed 1 percent rating for its first episode, reflecting its high popularity.

Broadcaster MBC had earlier signed a contract for the Chinese remake of its entertainment show “We Got Married” and is currently sharing its know-how in producing the show with the Chinese production team, according to reports.

The program stars Choi Si-won, 28, of K-pop boy group Super Junior and Chinese supermodel Liu wen, 27, who had been recently spotted in Seoul during filming, as a couple and others.
